BKS Iyengar studied and practiced yoga for over 70 years. He devoted a lifetime to systemizing the many ancient yoga poses, devising a unique method relevant and accessible to all. Today Iyengar Yoga, a name given to this system by Iyengar’s senior teachers, not by himself, has become one of the most practiced and respected yoga methods worldwide.

Sadly Guruji died August 2014, but his yoga lives on through the many teachers who teach and practise his methods worldwide.
